“Queer” at its root simply means different—a reminder that human experience has never been one‑size‑fits‑all. Instead of treating difference as something to fear, we can recognize it as a source of creativity, resilience, and connection. Embracing queerness means embracing the full spectrum of who people are, and rejecting the old habit of turning uniqueness into something to be shunned or vilified. Difference isn’t a threat to society; it’s one of its greatest strengths.
